I went to parent-teacher conference Thursday morning and had a great discussion with Elizabeth's teacher. She told me that Elizabeth is doing very well in school and has a great personality, but Liz has given several of her teachers a taste of her attitude. She explained that it has never been serious and that Liz usually cooperates and eventually does what she is asked to do, however, she has had to punish her a few times. (Which is exactly what we get at home.) She is 6 going on 16! I thought the talking back would come later. Last weekend she was staying with Garth's parents and my mother-in-law was singing to the girls and Liz said, "You can stop singing now." but she kept on singing any way and then Liz said, "No, really...stop singing." When Garth's mom told me that I about died! She can't quite grasp the concept of saying only kind things. On a more positive note, Liz was re-evaluated for T.A.G. and has been accepted into the program!! The evaluation said that Liz is intellectually gifted and is likely to stay above the 97th percentile. Her teacher was saying that she is always thinking outside the box and has a great imagination. We are so proud of her!
