Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

We cut down our own tree again this year. The location wasn't the greatest, but we still found a tree we thought to be the best. We were supposed to go really early on Thanksgiving day, but we ended up leaving about 2 hours later than planned. Garth loaded up the three-wheeler and a small cart and away we went! We didn't hit any snow until we started up the logging road. It took us a while to find a good spot to park the expedition and trailer and it seemed the higher we drove the deeper the snow got. We ended up turning around in about 6 inches of snow and driving back down the mountain to where the snow wasn't as deep. Garth set up the three-wheeler and the cart behind it to hold the girls. It probably looked really funny to have a 9 month pregnant woman on the back of an ATV!

After driving around for about and hour and a half, we decided on a tree. It was really fun, but we have decided to let the kids stay home next year as they were both crying about how cold they were. We will also not go on Thanksgiving day again because we were about 3 hours late to Garth's parents house for dinner.

Girls playing in the snow. I wonder why they got cold so fast?

Garth bringing the tree up the hill. That's part of why this location was not so great. Everything was on a slope or very steep terrain.

We finally decorated it on Monday.
